SSI. has stood the test of time, incorporated best business practices into our management systems and developed a long-term well trained work force. SSI was founded by Ms. Sheila Guarderas in Alaska as a partnership in 1986. SSI then incorporated in 1987. To expand the firm's opportunities to market its capability in a variety of service areas, Ms. Guarderas made the decision to move from Alaska to California in 1989. Over the last eighteen years, as a woman-owned, HUB Zone, minority-owned company, SSI has grown to a mature company with over 600 employees and annual revenues in excess of $15 Million. Hispanic Business magazine rated Superior Services, Inc. among the top 500 largest Hispanic owned businesses in the United States the past six years and the 6th fastest growing Hispanic-owned business in the United States for 1994. In 2003 and 2004 Superior Services received the Small Business Administration Award of Excellence for our distinguished service to the Government.
